Fußball: Ceferin kritisiert Klopp & Guardiola

UEFA-Präsident Aleksander Ceferin kritisiert Jürgen Klopp und Pep Guardiola. Zudem befürchtet der Slowene trotz des anstehenden Prozesses vor dem Europäischen Gerichtshof nicht, dass das umstrittene Super-League-Projekt noch umgesetzt wird.

"Was die Entscheidung des Gerichts auch sein mag, sie ändert nichts: Das Projekt ist tot, weil niemand mitmachen will", sagte der 54-Jährige im Interview der italienischen Sportzeitung Gazzetta dello Sport.

Im Streit um die Gründung der Liga bestehend aus europäischen Top-Klubs sind für Mitte Juli Verhandlungen angesetzt. Zuvor hatten sich aber bereits zahlreiche Vereine von dem Projekt abgewendet, das noch von Real Madrid, Barcelona und Juventus Turin weiter betrieben wird.

Ceferin kritisiert Klopp & Guardiola

Der Präsident des Europäischen Fußball-Union kritisierte außerdem den deutschen Coach Jürgen Klopp und dessen spanischen Kollegen Pep Guardiola. "Es ist einfach, immer die FIFA und die UEFA anzugreifen, aber die Diskussion ist einfach: Wenn du weniger spielst, verringern sich die Gehälter", sagte er.

Die beiden Premier-League-Trainer hatten zuvor Pläne für mehr Turniere und damit auch mehr Spiele kritisiert. "Wer sich beschweren sollte, sind die Arbeiter mit monatlich Tausend Euro in den Fabriken", sagte Ceferin.

Ceferin bemängelte auch die Haltung vieler Vereine beim Thema Belastung in den internationalen Wettbewerben. "Alle wollen mehr Pokalspiele, dann gibt es Meisterschaften mit 20 Mannschaften, nationale Pokale und in manchen Ländern einen Liga-Pokal. Niemand verzichtet auf etwas", kritisierte der UEFA-Präsident.
